Naraku is holding Rin for ransom, demanding that Sesshomaru kill Inuyasha, but Sesshomaru is big mad. Things are going to get tense.
Original Air Date: 29 Jul 2002, Streamed on: Hulu
One of Naraku’s demon puppets appears to deliver Naraku’s terms to Sesshomaru, but he’s already on tilt and destroys it without accepting.
Sesshomaru arrives with Naraku’s barrier still intact. Naraku lets him through and reveals that Rin is being held elsewhere. Evidently not a secret, Sesshomaru is there to kill Naraku.
On the way to Naraku’s castle, Kagome senses a jewel shard in the other direction, so the team splits up. Inuyasha notices that Naraku’s has faded, so he doubles his pace, worried that the barrier is up again.
Sango and Kagome begin to suspect that the jewel shard they chase is the one keeping Kohaku alive.
The fight between Naraku and Sesshomaru begins. With Naraku already transformed for battle, Sesshomaru draws Tokijin and obliterates Naraku’s first attack. The second, third, and fourth attacks do not fare any better.
Inuyasha finally arrives, and with red Tetsusaiga, he cuts right through the barrier to see Naraku and Sesshomaru squared off.
Another wave of Tokijin shreds even more of Naraku’s body, but Naraku isn’t fazed.
Kagura flies out to handle Inuyasha, but she’s not into it and bails when a small horde of demons shows up to fight him. A wind scar takes them out with ease. One more wind scar helps clear a path to Naraku.
Kagura is more than happy to see the collision course Inuyasha is on.
