After smashing the barrier with his new barrier-smashing skill, Inuyasha enters the domain of the panther demons. Will their home field give them an advantage?

With the red Tetsusaiga, Inuyasha uses the wind scar to break through the Panther Tribe’s barrier, then everybody rushes through. Inside, it looks calm and deserted, but suddenly they’re surrounded by panther demons and under assault, caught in the trap with black smoke closing around them.
Sesshomaru shows up just in time, so Karan and the panthers retreat.
Myoga shows up to give everyone the history of Cats versus Dogs. As he tells it, the Panther Tribe tried to conquer everything, but Inuyasha’s dog demon father stopped them and slayed their master. In response, the Panther Tribe cursed his family, so here we are.
Royakan shows up even though Sesshomaru told him to buzz off, and runs into Koga.
While Sesshomaru battles Toran, Inuyasha fights Karan, and Shuran attacks Sango and Miroku. A flashback reveals what happened 50 years ago and why Royakan is so determined to get involved. Many demons are indebted to Inuyasha’s family because his father stopped the Panther Tribe all those years ago.
Jaken wanders through the castle before panther demons surround him. Inuyasha arrives just in time with an Iron Reaver Soul Stealer to rescue him.
Sango and Miroku wake up in the prison cell where the panthers hold Kagome. She reveals to them that there are others in the cell with them, the inhabitants of the village the Panther Tribe took over.
As Toran prepares for the resurrection, Sesshomaru, Koga, and Inuyasha close in.

Royakan and the other demons that planned to help Sesshomaru 50 years ago abandoned the fight when they were overwhelmed. Royakan seems particularly ashamed of it.
