When the Panther Tribe resurrects the Panther King using Kagome’s shards of the Shikon jewel, Inuyasha is determined to stop them. Cats and dogs, am I right?

The conflict rages in separate small battles. Sesshomaru easily handles Karan and arrives in time to witness the resurrection of the Panther King. This is starting to look like a major fail.
Barriers are en vogue now, so of course there’s a new barrier for the red Tetsusaiga to destroy. Naturally, it works, surprising Sesshomaru.
The Panther King looks more like a giant, desiccated zombie corpse, and has all the strength of a rotted tree trunk. Inuyasha destroys his left hand with Tetsusaiga, then bops him on the head with it. The Panther King falls over but is not defeated.
Karan, Shuran, and Shunran triple-team Inuyasha and take him before Sesshomaru steps in. Inuyasha gets all macho about it, so he attacks Sesshomaru, starting a fight between them.
The Panther King grows impatient, so he sacrifices the trio of demons to himself. Toran is horrified, but the Panther King is now at full strength.
A Wind Scar only mildly inconveniences him, and he responds by firing his claws and shooting lighting from his finger tips. The 3 jewel shards make him exceptionally strong.
Sesshomaru, about to transform into his dog form, feels Tenseiga pulse, so he stops and leaps toward the Panther King apparently striking him to no immediate effect. As he moves to strike back, the Panther King collapses, robbed of the power he absorbed from his demons.
A second Wind Scar from Inuyasha has the desired result.
Karan, Shuran, and Shunran wake up to find out that Sesshomaru saved them from their own master. Toran ends the feud.

During the initial battles, poor Royakan catches a stray and goes down first.
Rin sings a little song to herself as she awaits Sesshomaru’s return. She is too cute and pure, and I fear that she is being built up to have an absolutely devastating death.
